in US you have elitist private clubs to keep peasants out of the greens, in EU we have bullshit \"licenses\" that are barely sensible in theory, absolutele nonsens in real life. Some coaches and clubs will take it seriously, but it basically the only method for golf coaches to make money, yet a very shitty model. What they do is to sell a groupon for 4-6, sometime even 10 people in group, fast track to \"green card\" as it is called in some countries, you get 10-12 hours of practice, fill out some dumb test that anybody who ever watched 1 hour of golf channel would be able to pass and play 9 holes. It is absolute nonsense when it is done this way. It is also the reason why majority of the new players will not pay for private lesson, for long time, if ever, and struggle with their game until they give up. Because the first lessons they had with a coach were utter shit. You can do swing \"clinic\" with large group - with players that are already experienced enough, but not with newbies.
